Carol Hahn Johnson is the senior consultant for the Quality Improvement team in the Surveillance Research Program within the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS). As the senior consultant, her work has been centered on developing specifications for computerized applications to improve the quality of the data set, developing comprehensive reporting criteria and rules for determining multiple primary tumors, and coding histology for hematopoietic, lymphoid, and solid tumor neoplasms.
Carol Hahn Johnson earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Minot State University in Minot, North Dakota. Prior to working at the NIH, she worked in the Standards Department of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer and in hospital-based cancer registries.
